In order to continuously improve and extend the knowledge of the paramedics, they regularly have to participate in advanced trainings offered by Intermedic and in external trainings and educations.

Additional “megacode trainings” guarantee for an efficient and uniform operation of CPR, based on the most recent guidelines and algorithms. Those guidelines are practiced through realistic example cases.

The first team that has arrived has to start with the cardiac compressions and the artificial respiration right away. Within the following few minutes they have to order further teams, place an I.V., give medication, intubate the patient and possibly use the defibrillator, while continuing the CPR at the same time.

Further topics of the advanced education are ethics and the association with the patients’ relatives in situations like that. The paramedic school Intermedic offers the training to external coworkers, doctors and any interested paramedical staff as well.

In order to have control over the ambulances in any extreme situations, the paramedics get the chance to attend a driving safety training, offered by the Drivecenter Veltheim. The paramedics are able to test the different Intermedic vehicles and to experience how the ambulances react in certain situations.
